There are situations in which you may need to extract several types of data from websites. This data can consist of login scripts, images, videos and other types of data. The problem is that most web browsers don't allow you to extract contents from websites and this is why you should turn to additional software for this task.

You could use Bget in this case. This Windows application allows you to extract various data from multiple websites, by using customized rules. After the program is installed and launched, the user will notice that the interface of Bget features several example rules, which can be modified or used as they are. Having several already-made rules can help you become familiar with the interface and program features in less time.

In order to start a rule, you just need to select it and click on the green play button inside the graphical toolbar. At this point, the status of the task configured inside the rule will be displayed in real time in the lower part of the interface. For creating a new task, you just need to go through all the tabs displayed in the creation window. As such, you will have to define a URL or a list of URLs that will be used during the web data extraction process. You also need to define some navigation rules and extraction rules.

In case you want to re-install the software or the operating system, you can save the list of tasks as a backup file and load it into the application later on.

Pros

It allows you to define complex rules for extracting data from any website. What's more, the program comes with some sample rules. Furthermore, you can save the list of rules to a file.

Cons

Creating a new task can be a bit challenging for beginners. Using Bget you can define various rules with ease, for extracting data from any website.
